Habil operators start on fleet monitoring and grow into live teleoperation, field deployment, or the software side of robotics — with pay and responsibility rising at every step.
| Tier | Focus | Skill floor |
|---|---|---|
| Tier 1 | AMR / warehouse fleet monitoring, teleop | Entry-level — dashboard monitoring, escalation protocol |
| Tier 2 | Humanoid teleop, VR/haptic data collection | Hands-on hardware and VR time |
| Tier 3 | Field deployment, maintenance, safety audit | Physical presence and judgment |
| Tier 4 | ROS2, simulation, foundation-model fine-tuning | Programming and ML fluency |
Most operators progress from Tier 1 within 12–18 months. Tier 4 is the track for operators who want to move from running robots to training the models that run them.
New operators go through certification training before their first shift — see Habil Academy for the program. Experienced NOC, BPO, or fleet-ops staff can apply directly for accelerated placement.
